El Nino 2013

The nation's largest high school winter trip is back and it's better than ever!  We've completely renovated the trip and are bringing you a new destination, new events, and new package inclusions to make El Nino 2013 all about shredding some of the best powder on the West Coast.  If you think you know what El Nino's like, think again.  We're going back to the city where we hosted our first winter trip in 1997 and heading to South Lake Tahoe for three days of riding and unreal on-mountain events sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink, 686, and Signal Snowboards.

Ready to take your skills to the next level?  On El Nino 2013, you'll be able to ride with some of the best professional snowboarders that the sport has ever known.  Chas Guldemond, Patrick McCarthy, and other pros from Rockstar Energy Drink, 686, and Signal Snowboards will be in South Lake Tahoe to ride with SWAT travelers, teach new tricks, and off the inside track on how to become the next great competitor!
Maybe you've only gone snowboarding a few times but still want to join us for El Nino 2013.  No problem!  We're teaming up with the Sierra at Tahoe Ski School to offer discounted lessons to all SWAT travelers.  For just $35, you can take a two hour group lesson with other El Nino 2013 travelers taught by licensed and professional ski and snowboard instructors.  Space is limited so make sure that you contact our office after you've signed up for the trip to register.
Lodging on El Nino 2013 includes, among others, the Horizon Resort & Casino, Forest Suites, Park Tahoe Inn, and Super 8 to name a few.  All properties are located in the heart of South Lake tahoe and are within walking distance to one another, countless restaurants, and shopping.  All rooms are maximum-occupancy (two people per queen-sized bed.)  Please contact SWAT Customer Service for information upgrades to double and triple-occupancy rooms.
All charter buses are equipped with certified drivers, snow driving equipment, reclining seats, stereos, TVs with DVD players, and restrooms.  Buses will depart on Jan. 2nd for South Lake Tahoe between approximately 8:00AM and 1:00PM.  Travelers will depart South Lake Tahoe for the return trip home on Jan. 5th directly from the mountain after the last day of snowboarding.  Buses are expected to arrive at their respective departure locations late that evening or in the early morning hours of Jan. 6th.
